We need your support

The August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC) is a living memorial to the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, working to fulfill his mission to illuminate Black culture, and to confront the responsibilities of being a global citizen. We are the gateway Pittsburgh’s Cultural District and the second largest Black, multi-disciplinary performing arts center in the Country.

We operate a home for the arts, storytelling, learning, and exchange around the African diaspora.

We invite you to join us in building momentum for the future by supporting our MISSION DRIVEN campaign to raise $1 million by December 31, 2023. Your gift will allow us to Uplift our Community, Expand Educational programs, and Amplify Voices of Artists.
