The August Wilson African American Cultural Center is located in downtown Pittsburgh. The area offers many parking options including lots, garages, along with on street parking. Valet parking is available at certain events. Guests are always welcome to drop off and pick up directly in front of the doors of the center, but please note bus lane restrictions.
Assistive Listening Devices:
Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. ALDs are available at Guest Services on a first-come, first-served basis. The AWAACC is happy to provide two types of ALDs:
- Introduction Loop Hearing Devices require a T-coil equipped hearing aid
- Infrared Headsets are used without hearing aides
Sign Language Interpretation:
Sign language interpretation is scheduled for select AWAACC events. A sign language interpreter can be arranged upon request. Requests must be received at least two weeks prior to the event and are subject to the availability of an interpreter.
Registered service dogs and miniature horses are welcome in the AWAACC. When purchasing tickets, please notify Guest Services to take advantage of companion seating.
A two-week advance notice for accommodations not listed above is kindly requested.
