Are you a middle schooler or high schooler that loves to write and wants to learn more? Whether you’re obsessed with poetry, plays, short stories, songwriting, or all of the above, The August Wilson Center’s Inaugural Summer Youth Writers Camp wants you! Through diving into August Wilson’s four major artistic influences, the “4 B’s,” we will discover what lies beneath your unique writing voice. Each day will be filled with exciting theater games and thought-provoking writing exercises to sharpen your pen under the tutelage of choreopoet Nicole Shante White. You’ll have opportunities to meet new friends, share your work, and engage in constructive feedback. Come and join a strong, supportive community of young writers who are going to change the world! All participants must be current middle or high school students.
